Legacy by Design: Future-Proofing Family Wealth and Relationship in an Expanding Digital World

  • Guatemala City Guatemala (map)

An invite-only workshop for LATAM family offices on wealth, relationships, and leadership for the next generation, designed by Relationship Capital in partnership with Multiverse.

Session 1: Beyond Succession: Designing Multigenerational Resilience in the Digital Age: (Speaker: Savannah Suttle of Relationship Capital)

Technology has transformed the way people connect, bond, and build trust. For younger generations, identity, loyalty, and belonging are increasingly shaped in digital spaces — spaces that many older generations do not even know exist, much less understand. These younger generations are creating their own codes of culture and influence, untethered from geography, time, and place.

This makes it more important than ever for older generations to intentionally pass down the depth, values, and practices of the old ways — while also learning from the new. If families fail to balance in-person bonds and family systems with the digital architectures of connection, they risk fragmenting the family bond within just a few generations. The future of relationship capital will depend on a both/and approach: preserving the wisdom of tradition while designing new frameworks of connection that are resonant (and practical) in a digital age.

For Latin America, where family values have remained stronger for longer than other areas of the world, this is a historic advantage. The relational intelligence and rhythms of LATAM families uniquely positions LATAM to capitalize on relationship capital and multigenerational strength in an era where others are losing it.

Session 2: Fireside Chat: The Ontology of Wealth with Hans Phillips, trusted mentor to the ultra wealthy (facilitated by Savannah Suttle)

Great wealth requires great leadership. Yet the true risk for successful families is not external — it is entitlement, disconnection, and unexamined authority within. In order to be effective stewards of relationship, wealth, or enterprise we must first be stewards of ourselves, our time, and our presence. In this session, Hans Phillips of Ontoco (highly sought after mentor to the ultra wealthy) will explore how family leaders can avoid these traps in subsequent generations by cultivating and modeling intentionality by design.

Session 3: Beyond Preservation: Creating Generational Wealth in the Quantum Age  (Speakers: Naoris Protocol Team David Carvalho, Youssef El Maddarsi, David Holzman, Inge Kampenes, Mick Mulvaney)

Quantum computing is on the verge of breaking today’s encryption — putting at risk the portfolios, assets, and cross-border holdings that family offices rely on to protect multi-generational wealth. Post-quantum security and decentralization are not just safeguards; they are the foundations for redefining the future of wealth, sovereignty, and power.

For Latin America, this is a historic leapfrog moment. And for family offices, it is a rare opportunity to act early, secure portfolios, position heirs for the next generation, and shape the very infrastructures that will govern global wealth and influence. Those who lead now will not only protect what they have built, but also capture the immense creation of wealth and power that the post-quantum era will unleash.

Session 4: Family Office Innovation — Best Practices: Fireside Chat with Dr. Christine Gulbranson (facilitated by Savannah)

Current best practices: Stories and examples of how large family offices in the US and emerging markets are successfully pulling in younger generations to foster innovation in legacy verticals.

Dinner and discussion – Relationship Capital Facilitated Discussion: Guided activity for families. Each family to receive a set of question cards they can take home to their own family so they can discuss as a group.
